By installing and running Idle you agree to the following.

What Idle is

Idle is a native macOS app that helps you install, run, and monitor third-party DePIN (decentralized physical infrastructure) services on your own Mac. The DePIN services — Pawns, Grass, Honeygain, EarnApp, MystNodes, Nodepay — are operated by independent companies. Each has its own terms of service.

Idle is not a financial product. Idle does not custody your funds, your tokens, or your wallet keys. Earnings are paid by the DePIN services directly to addresses you control.

What you agree to

• You are responsible for your own ISP's terms. Many residential ISPs (Comcast, Spectrum, etc.) prohibit reselling bandwidth or running proxy servers. The welcome screen makes you acknowledge this risk before continuing. Idle does not indemnify you against ISP enforcement.
• You are responsible for your own taxes. USD payouts above $600/year are 1099-reportable in the US. Token receipts are taxable as ordinary income at fair-market value at receipt. Sales of tokens create separate capital-gains events.
• You accept egress liability. When DePIN apps share your bandwidth, your IP becomes the source of buyers' traffic. Most buyers run benign workloads (AI training, BI scraping). Some networks resell to broader proxy markets. You may receive ISP notices for traffic you didn't generate.
• You accept device wear. 24/7 operation degrades battery health unless you set the macOS Charging Limit to 80%.
• You accept volatility. Token-paid services (GRASS, MYST, NODE) have token prices that fluctuate. The earnings figures Idle quotes are estimates, not guarantees.

What Idle does not warrant

Idle is provided as-is. Ashlr makes no warranties about uptime, earnings, payout reliability, or fitness for any purpose. Each DePIN service is independent; if a service stops paying or shuts down (e.g. Hivello in Jan 2026), Idle can only display that fact, not undo it.

Referrals

Signup links inside Idle route through Ashlr's referral codes. The DePIN service may pay Ashlr a 10% lifetime commission on your earnings. The DePIN service pays this commission; it does not reduce your earnings. You may opt out by editing Sources/Idle/AppRegistry.swift and rebuilding from source.

License

Source code is licensed under the MIT license (see LICENSE in the repo).

Termination

You can stop using Idle at any time. Drag the app to the trash and your local data goes with it. Each DePIN service has its own account-deletion process — Idle cannot delete your accounts on your behalf.
